If you pray and read your scriptures, you are like the Pevensie children in the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, who have stepped through the door of the wardrobe into Narnia. The story is unfolding, and you have already seen some amazing things. You already sense the power and thrill of it, and you might just be ready to accept the beaver’s invitation to “come further in.” Mighty prayer takes you further in.
“Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection. And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.” (Doctrine and Covenants 130:18-19)
